SWB Welcomes Four Law Clerks

Sweeny, Wingate & Barrow, P.A. is pleased to welcome Adam Crain, Lynsey Barker, Brianna Hourihan, and Jonathan Savitske as law clerks for summer 2019.


SWB’s law clerk program provides law students with an opportunity to engage in real-world legal work, explore diverse practice areas and gain practical experience with the inner workings of a firm. Law clerks are given the chance to demonstrate their capabilities with respect to legal writing and research, and are provided opportunities to attend deposition, hearings and trials.


Adam Crain is a rising 3L J.D. candidate at the University of South Carolina School of law where he was recently elected Chief Justice of the Moot Court Bar for the 2019-2020 school year. He is an active member of the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Journal. Prior to law school, Adam was a Fellow at the John Jay Institute in Philadelphia, P.A. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Government with a minor in History from Wofford College.


Lynsey Barker is a rising 3L pursuing her J.D. at the University of South Carolina School of Law where she serves as a peer mentor group leader and a Law School Ambassador. Lynsey is Editor in Chief of South Carolina Journal of International Law and Business; as a staff editor for the Journal, she won best “Below the Line” spade award. Lynsey is also an active member of the Pro Bono Board, the Student Bar Association and the Christian Legal Society. She graduated cum laude from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Social Work and a minor in Spanish-English Interpretation and Translation. While at JMU, Lynsey was president of Phi Alpha National Social Work Honor Society and played for the Women’s Club Volleyball team.


Brianna Hourihan is a rising 3L J.D. candidate at the University of South Carolina School of Law where she will begin the MBA Dual Degree Program in July. Bri is Production Editor of the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Journal. She received a Bachelor of Science in Business Real Estate with a minor in Law and Philosophy from Florida State University.


Jonathan Savitske is a rising 2L pursuing his J.D. at the University of South Carolina School of Law. He currently serves as Law School Representative on the University of South Carolina Student Senate. Jonathan received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia College & State University. While at GCSU, he was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity and Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity.
