Brian joined the firm after a history as both a litigator and corporate counsel in the insurance industry.  His litigation background includes construction, governmental defense, class actions, and general civil litigation insurance defense.  Brian also brings deep experience as an in-house corporate attorney including providing legal direction to various business departments as well as governance, compliance, and data privacy leadership internationally.

A graduate of the University of Illinois Law School (Chicago), Brian was active in the school’s moot court program where he served as Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board.  After graduation, he practiced in both Chicago, Illinois and Chattanooga, Tennessee before returning to his home state.

A native of Camden, South Carolina, Brian and his two children are active members of First Baptist Church of Columbia where he serves as a member of its lay leadership.
