Attorneys Ken Wingate (at left) and David Thomas (at right) successfully represented an individual client/corporate officer in a tax controversy before the Internal Revenue Service Appeals Division. The appeals officer set aside an assessment of $2 million of unpaid Trust Fund Recovery Penalty (TFRP) and interest against the company’s bookkeeper, proving that she was not aware of nor responsible for the company’s failure to pay employment taxes withheld from its employees.
