RYAN J. PATANE
Ryan Patane is a native of Greenville, South Carolina. He is a cum laude graduate of the University of South Carolina where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a minor in French. As an undergraduate, Ryan was a cellist in the Campus Orchestra, a member of the Gamecock Masters Swim Club, and a member of Reformed University Fellowship where he helped lead the music ministry team.
Ryan is a cum laude graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was an Articles Editor for the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Journal and a recipient of the award of Best Oral Argument in Legal Research and Writing.
Ryan comes to Sweeny, Wingate & Barrow from another insurance defense firm where he practiced in the areas of law enforcement defense and constitutional law. He now maintains a general insurance and civil defense practice.
Ryan and his wife, Sarah, are active members of the First Presbyterian Church of Columbia where Ryan serves as a deacon and on numerous committees. Ryan enjoys swimming, reading, and playing his cello for weddings and church services.
