Dalton Barfield

Dalton Barfield is a rising second-year student at the University of South Carolina School of Law. He graduated cum laude from Clemson University in 2012 with a B.A. in History. At Clemson, he was active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Dalton is originally from Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina and attends First Presbyterian Church in Columbia.

Todd Lyle

Todd Lyle

Todd, a rising second-year law student and member of the honor council at the University of South Carolina School of Law, received a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from The Citadel in 2003. After receiving his undergraduate degree, Todd started a business investing in real estate and land development. Todd, also a helicopter pilot, holds the rank of Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve and served as a combat company commander in northern Iraq in charge of an AH-64D Apache helicopter unit. Todd is a native of Lexington, South Carolina and is married to the former Kimberly Yandow; they have a daughter and a son. Todd and his family attend Radius Church in Lexington, South Carolina.

Leary McKenzie

Leary McKenzie

Leary is a rising third -year student at the University of South Carolina School of Law and graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina Honors College with a B.S. in Chemistry where he served as president of the Undergraduate American Chemical Society. He serves on the South Carolina Law Review as an articles editor and received an award for the Top Scoring Legal Memo in the Joint Journal Writing Competition. Before law school, Leary spent several years consulting for the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, primarily leading clients in responding to FDA regulatory action. A native of Dillon, Leary resides in Greer, South Carolina with his wife Katie Ackerman McKenzie and they have one daughter, Madison. They are active members of Grace Church in Greenville, South Carolina where they teach Sunday school for four and five year olds.

Katherine Myers

Katherine Myers

Katherine Myers is a third-year student at the University of South Carolina School of Law and native of Columbia, South Carolina She graduated from Furman University in 2010 with a B.A. in Political Science. She is a member of the John Belton O'Neall Inn of Court, Best Oral Advocate of J. Woodrow Lewis Moot Court Competition of Spring 2012, former President of the Hon. Mathew J. Perry Chapter of the Black Law Students Association, Dean's list recipient, selected as Member of the Month for the southern region of the National Black Law Students Association, and a Carolina Scholarship recipient. Katherine is a member of Columbia Church of Christ.

Leslie Simpson

Leslie Simpson

Leslie, a rising third-year law student at the University of South Carolina School Of Law, is the 2013-2014 Associate Justice of Internal Competitions for the USC Moot Court Bar, 2013-2014 Vice President of the Matthew J. Perry Chapter of the Black Law Students Association, and a member of Phi Alpha Delta. Leslie, a native of Houston, Texas, graduated cum laude from Claflin University in Orangeburg, South Carolina with a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Prior to law school Leslie worked at Verizon Wireless where she specialized in customer service and worked closely with executives, public relations and in house counsel to resolve escalated matters submitted to the media and regulatory agencies such as the FCC, the BBB and the office of the Attorney General. She is a cheerleading coach at Claflin University and a member of Bull Swamp Baptist Church in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
