Matt joined Sweeny, Wingate & Barrow, P.A. after completing an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida. His areas of emphasis with the firm include federal, state, and local taxation, estate planning, probate administration, trust and estate litigation, and corporate law including mergers, acquisitions, and similar transactional matters. Matt has also graduated from the South Carolina Honors College with a degree in economics and the University of South Carolina School of Law where he was an editor for the Real Property Probate and Trust Journal. Prior to law school, Matt worked in the banking industry for several years, primarily as a commercial credit analyst and commercial loan officer. He also has prior legal experience representing various South Carolina school districts. Matt is a native of Darlington, South Carolina.
