John joined the firm in 2009 upon graduating from Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Virginia . While at Regent, John received the John W. McCormick Spiritual Leadership Prize and the Alliance Defense Fund Scholarship. In 2007, John was selected to be a Blackstone Fellow by the Alliance Defense Fund. Prior to law school, John received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina in 2004. While at USC, John was involved with Reformed University Fellowship and worked in the S.C. Senate for the Honorable Warren K. Giese.

John is a native of Columbia, South Carolina. He is married to the former Christine Zaepfel of Chapin, South Carolina. John and Christine have two sons. They are active members of First Presbyterian Church of Columbia. While not practicing law, John enjoys spending time with his family, golf, playing guitar, the outdoors, and anything sports or music related.
