After having practiced law in the Upstate for four years, Paul came to Sweeny, Wingate & Barrow, P.A. in November 2001. Before attending law school, Paul received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Georgia, in Athens. Paul received his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina in 1996. During law school, Paul worked as a law clerk to the Chief Legal Counsel to the Governor of South Carolina. Paul has practiced in the areas of general civil litigation, business law, estate planning, probate law, family law and real estate law. His emphasis at Sweeny, Wingate & Barrow, P.A. is in the areas of estate planning, probate administration, probate litigation and business planning for closely held entities. He is an approved attorney for a national title insurance company. He is a member of the Richland County Bar and South Carolina Bar (Tax Law Section and Probate, Estate Planning, and Trust Section). Paul is vice president of the Columbia Estate Planning Council. Paul is a native of Anderson, South Carolina. He is married to the former Kellie Crawford, also of Anderson. They have four children. Paul enjoys hunting, snow skiing, playing tennis, and reading. He is a deacon and a Sunday School teacher at First Presbyterian Chuch in Columbia. |
