Martin is the managing shareholder of Sweeny, Wingate & Barrow's Pee Dee Region office in Hartsville, South Carolina. Martin's practice focuses on civil litigation, with an emphasis on defending clients involved in professional malpractice and business disputes. He has successfully represented professional clients before all courts in South Carolina and before professional licensing boards. Martin is licensed to practice law in both North and South Carolina and is a member of the bar associations of both states. Martin joined the firm in 1999, following a two year judicial clerkship under the Honorable Henry M. Herlong, Jr., United States District Judge for the District of South Carolina. Martin is a graduate of Clemson University and the University of South Carolina School of Law. Martin was served as President of the Student Body at Clemson and as the Managing Editor of the SOUTH CAROLINA LAW REVIEW where he authored two published notes. He is married to Karen and is the proud father of five children.
